On December 11, 2024, the National Technical Exchange Meeting on Wool Fiber Testing continued to be wonderful. In view of the difficult problems encountered in this year's comparison test of fluff fiber content and lint free length and fineness, the meeting invited experts to make on-site presentations, demonstrate the practical operation of lint free hand platoon length, and invite experts from production enterprises, testing and scientific research institutions to carry out dialogues and exchanges around issues of concern to the industry.
Answer questions:
Deep discussion on common problems of detection
Focusing on the identification of cashmere fineness, variety, and recycled cashmere, as well as the detailed problems encountered in the testing process, the exchange meeting held an expert dialogue session, inviting Li Xing, the manager of Chifeng Dongli Cashmere Co., Ltd., Pang Ruidong, the secretary general of cashmere professional committee of China Wool Textile Industry Association Fei Jing, senior engineer of Shanghai Customs Industrial Products and Raw Materials Testing Technology Center, Han Jing, director of the Testing Center of Beijing Woolen Textile Science Research Institute, and Chen Jihong, senior manager of Intertek (Tianjin) Quality Technology Service Co., Ltd., put forward suggestions around these problems and answered the questions of the delegates at the meeting. Liu Yan, Vice President of China Wool Textile Industry Association, presided over the session.
In view of the popular cashmere in the market in recent years, Li Xing introduced the methods of identifying cashmere in enterprises, the problems encountered and some work being studied.
From the biological point of view, Fei Jing proposed that proteomic analysis could be used to identify cashmere. At the same time, she proposed that the next step would be to study the protein expression differences of cashmere at different ages, providing support for future detection.
For the identification of recycled cashmere, Pang Ruidong introduced that Ordos currently qualitatively identifies cashmere by observing the appearance, testing and analyzing the content of fiber components, identifying dyeing properties, judging physical properties, etc., but enterprises still face bottlenecks in quantitative testing.
In the process of raw material trading, in addition to the problem of fineness, there will also be some index problems involved in the current no national standard, industrial standard, group standard, etc. How should the industry solve these problems? Can some unified schemes be formed?
Han Jing suggested that buyers and sellers of fluff should correctly understand that the fluff fineness value is a range, and should not pursue a single value. At the same time, it is suggested that the third-party laboratory should report the confidence interval of fineness in addition to unifying the average fineness, which is conducive to avoiding risks and allowing enterprises to intuitively see the product range. In addition, it is suggested to develop reference materials or reference materials that are less than 14.5 μ m and more than 40 μ m, so that instruments and equipment can have a customizable and quantifiable standard to reduce the difference between the results of laboratories.
Chen Jihong proposed to improve and revise relevant standards by focusing on how to issue a test report if there is "suspected wool" or a trace of cotton wool but the content exceeds 0.5% in the test results of pure cashmere products, and how to issue a report on "medium thick", "hybrid" or "non cashmere goat" cashmere fibers, It is suggested that the China Woolen Association and the Professional Standards Committee should evaluate whether the tested samples meet the promised quality according to the cashmere fineness test results.
Students are enthusiastic and experts preach
This year's exchange meeting was even more unique. The on-site operation demonstration of the length of the lint free hand platoon was added ingeniously. The delegates at the meeting could not only conduct in-depth exchanges in theory, but also learn skills and show style in practice. Praise the excellent players and participants on the spot.
In addition, on the site of the exchange meeting, the participants also took the difficult samples they encountered in their work and actively raised specific questions to the experts present. Chen Jihong, senior manager of Intertek (Tianjin) Quality Technology Service Co., Ltd., Ma Haiyan, head of animal fiber content testing section of Inner Mongolia Dongke Textile Testing Service Co., Ltd., Hong Xia, engineer of Inner Mongolia Ordos Resources Co., Ltd., Tang Jun, director of Shanghai Intertek Quality Technology Service Co., Ltd., etc, Answering every question patiently and meticulously not only imparts theoretical knowledge, but also teaches valuable experience through example demonstration.
In order to help the representatives solve problems more intuitively, the experts even moved the testing instruments directly to the venue for on-site operation guidance. This arrangement enables the representatives to observe the operation process of experts closely, deepen their understanding of professional knowledge, and obtain practical feedback in time.
The atmosphere at the meeting was warm, and the delegates were absorbed, nodded their heads frequently to show their approval. They also actively interacted with experts from time to time to share their opinions and insights. Such an exchange meeting not only provided a platform for delegates to learn and improve, but also promoted experience sharing and cooperation between them.
